    • The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, aka “Jazz Fest,” is the signature annual music and cultural event of the city and has been called America’s greatest festival. Celebrating the music, food, and arts and crafts of all of Louisiana since 1970, Jazz Fest is an essential showcase of the rich heritage of the region.
    • JAZZ FEST: A NEW ORLEANS STORY weaves together live performances on 14 stages and interviews from the 50th anniversary of the iconic festival, along with a wealth of archival documentary footage from the past half century. This film not only captures the Festival in all of its beauty and glory, but also delves deep into the rich culture of The Big Easy.

    • Jen Pribble and Mike Morin from the Upper Saco Valley Land Trust (USVLT) will share a presentation, Inside the Dundee Community Forest.  Join us to learn more about the flora and fauna within the forest and how conservation organizations balance recreation and habitat protection.

    • Have you ever wondered how Spongy moths affect forests in New Hampshire? Join former resident bird intern, Logan Anderson, as he walks through how Spongy moths affect forests and the birds that reside within them. We will learn about how these moths got here, the effects they have on stands, their disturbance role in our forests, and highlight changes in the populations of a few bird species found on Tin Mountain’s Albany campus.

These leisurely investigations of the trails, and tour of the Learning Center are perfect for all ages; you are never too young or too old to have a new adventure.

    • Rev Gail facilitates this group to support bereaved community members. All welcome; free. This session focuses specifically on child loss.
    • Separately, a different group meets once a month fo support those struggling with partner/spousal loss (as well as other adult relationships such as parents/siblings). Next meeting: Wed, Nov 29 @ 1pm.
    • At this point, new participants are welcome through word-of-mouth or referrals. We’ll meet as consistently as possible. You don’t have to attend every session.

    9-11am  Tin Mountain Nature Learning Center

    • Let’s explore what’s in the drawers! Turtle shells, skulls, insects, and more. Even mounted specimens can be accessed in this class. Drawing what we see in nature is one of the best ways to connect with nature. But what’s it like to see and feel an animal’s skull up close?  Or a bird’s toes? This workshop, led by artist Sandy McDermott, is an opportunity to touch, feel, and hold some natural artifacts that we wouldn’t be able to handle, or shouldn’t, in an outdoor, live setting. This workshop is open to anyone with an interest in drawing and nature, no experience required.

The first phase of our newly initiated ‘appreciative inquiry’ will include multiple forms of engagement: focus group meetings, a community survey, and several full community discovery and visioning sessions, facilitated by a professional consultant.
    • We’ll ‘explore the best of what is’ in our church today, and then build from those strengths and emerging opportunities to imagine our future. The community planning activities of the coming few months will become the basis of our church’s long term strategic plan, we hope your voice will be included!
