With the family’s permission, we share the sudden and sorrowful news
that Mary Howe died today, Wed, Dec 4th. She received immediate medical
care, but died shortly after the initial medical emergency. Her family
is helping to support her husband John and making decisions about next
steps.
We will share more information about arrangements and the family’s
wishes as those become available. We grieve Mary’s loss; she has been a
much-loved presence in the village, valley and our faith community. She
has always been a lively presence in conversations and gatherings, with
her sense of humor, keen intellect, compassionate heart, action-oriented
approach to life, artists’s eye, and her gift for curiosity and
engagement.
