Farewell to “Dot” Wood

The family of Dorothy “Dot” Wood has given permission to share the news that, at the age of 89, just shy of her 90th birthday, “Dot” died on Saturday, Sept 9. Her husband Armand “Fred” Wood continues to reside at Mineral Springs. Some family was present when she died.

“Dot” was a much-beloved member of this faith community. Though they couldn’t attend services, she and Armand remained connected to our church. Along with other residents of Mineral Springs, they were visited each week by people from our church (friends, deacons, and/or minister).

The family is making plans for a memorial service, and the church will share details about that event as they become available.

Please hold “Dot” Wood’s family — her husband, children and grandchildren — in the light. Also offer your prayers to her friends and to the Mineral Springs staff members who have provided compassionate care during her final years. She will be missed.
