  • Community Event: NORTH COUNTRYY SNOWSHOE (Tin Mountain event)
    9am • Pine Mountain Trails
    • Eplore the North Country’s Pine Mountain. The trip will involve light to moderate snowshoeing and provide excellent opportunities to observe tracks of many of New Hampshire’s wildlife and perhaps a peek at some northern birds, such as the boreal chickadee or black-backed woodpecker.

    • Registration cost: $15/person or $25/household for non-members. Members are free.
  • Community Event: SNOWSHOE TOUR (Tin Mountain event)
    2pm • Tin Mountain Conservation Center, Albany

      *Please arrive at 1:30pm if you are renting snowshoes. Also, bring poles if you prefer to use them while snowshoeing – we do not have any poles.
    • Non-members:  $15/person or $25/household, snowshoe rental $5/person. Members are Free!
    • Join us for a snowshoe tour at Tin Mountain’s Nature Learning Center in Albany, NH. Bring your own snowshoes or rent ours*, and enjoy the breathtaking beauty of winter. All are welcome!

  • Community Event: CONTRA DANCING 
    7pm • Whitney Community Center, Jackson, NH
    • FREE Contra Dance being called by National Heritage Fellow Dance Caller, Dudley Laufman, along with his band of musicians.
    1.  A contra dance is not a square dance. You perform simple footwork patterns. No experience is required.
    2. A contra dance is for community members of all ages. Come by yourself, or bring your family and friends.
    3. The Whitney CC Contra Dance is a chance for you to meet more community members and have a fun night out. If you live full-time in the area or are up for the weekend, you are encouraged to attend.
    4. You are not required to sign up. Just show up. But to help us better plan you can Click Here to sign up.
    5. You are welcome to bring your favorite dessert to share with other contra dancers.
