    Drop your young person off and pick them up at the trailhead for a moderately strenuous adventure up Peaked Mountain with us. Lunch will be on the trail; youth must wear appropriate footwear, and have water and a lunch in a comfortable backpack. Social distancing will be enforced. Masks will not be required while actively hiking, but will when appropriate during breaks.  $20/members, $25 nonmembers. Scholarships available. Space is limited and registration is required. Call 603-447-6991 to reserve a space. Suggested donation of $5/person; members are free.

The book provides a dazzling, inspiring tour through the ways that humans are working with nature to try to save the planet.   • Community Event: NATURALIST LED HIKES  (Tin Mountain Conservation Center – Jackson Field Station)
    10am • Jackson Field Station, Jackson, NH
    Registration required: call 603-447-6991. Highlights include the summit of Tin Mountain, a tin mine on the property, and historic homestead, and a mountain pond. Tin Mountain’s naturalist will explain the historic use of the property, help identify plant species, and point out animal signs. These hikes are a great way to explore the lesser trod trails of the White Mountains and avoid the crowds. Participants of all ages a welcome. Reservations required – please call by the Wednesday prior at noon. Limited to 10 participants. Program fee of $5/person or $20/family; members free.

    Shorebirds begin migrating south in late June, with a peak occurring in New England around the third week of August. We’ll discuss migration routes, key habitats and field marks for easier identification of common species. While we won’t be leading a field program to the coast this year, we will share the hot spots so you can check them out on your own if you’d like! Led by Will Broussard.   • Community Event: FAMILY CANOE TRIP
    9:30am • Meet at the Tin Mountain Conservation Center, Bald Hill Road, Albany . Shuttle 25 minutes east to put-in site. 
    Join Tin Mountain for a canoe adventure on Kezar Pond and Stream in Fryeburg, Maine. We’ll stop at a secluded sand beach for lunch. During the day, we’ll search for wildlife such as Bald Eagles, Loons, and Heron and may see the brilliant red Cardinal Flower in bloom streamside. Staff will teach and offer paddling tips & techniques for those new to the sport. For all abilities and ages. Please bring sunscreen, a hearty lunch, water (preferably in a reusable bottle), snacks, binoculars and life jacket (especially for the children). Tin Mountain has a few small sized life jackets and if you have your own, please be sure to bring them.  Please be sure to have 2 able-bodied paddlers in your canoe. Space is limited. Registration required. Cost: $10 per person / $25 per family.

    We will use only designated open pews only (2 out of 3 pews are roped off). Families (and quaran-team groups who have already been in close proximity) may sit together. We will avoid passing of peace, handshaking, hugs, etc. We also ask that you use hand sanitizer as you enter and wear your own mask throughout service. Worship will be streamlined with scripture, prayer and live music by Alan Labrie (if he’s able to arrive while worship is in session): no congregational singing. When worship ends, participants are asked to leave the church with social distance between each group;  we will immediately be preparing for the next zoom-based 10:30am worship service. If you have any signs of illness such as fever, cough, congestion, stomach upset, you are courteously asked to remain home and take care of yourself.

    Gather to work on letterboxing project. Bring the written directions for location for your kits (that Rev Gail is still holding). Bring water and masks; dress for hiking or doing messy projects. Be prepared to carve rubber stamps together. LIT program for 6th-grade and older students.
