Mon, Nov 18th Graveside Service & Reception for ROBERT ‘BOB’ DEAN DAVIS

With permission from the Davis family, we share the following: Robert ‘Bob’ Dean Davis, a native son of Jackson, NH, passed away at Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin, NH, after a period of declining health. Bob was 81 years old at the time of his death.
            Bob was predeceased by his parents Robert Elkins Davis & Mary Amanda (Grover) Davis, his sisters Eleanor June (Davis) Lang and Carmen Roberta (Davis) Knapp, and his son, Randy P. Davis.
            Bob is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Beatrice ‘Bea’ (Bright) Davis, his sons Dean Richard Davis and his wife, Nancy, of Jackson, Rick Elkins Davis and his wife, Gail, of Jackson, and his daughter Maureen Dee Kermode of Vernon, CT and and his daughter-in-law Jean Davis of Albany, NH. Bob is also survived by his four grandchildren: Jasmine, Jordan, and Jackson Kermode of Vernon, CT and Mary Davis of Albany, NH. He is also survived by his brother-in-laws Gordon W. Lang of Jackson and Richard Knapp of Center Ossipee. Bob is also survived by 3 nieces and several Davis and Grover cousins
            Bob was born in North Conway. He attended Kennett High School, where he participated in the Future Farmers of America program in 1955.
            As a native son of Jackson, NH, Bob followed in the footsteps of the generations of his family that made their living as farmers and loggers in the rocky fields and hills of Jackson. Bob also continued the longtime family tradition of serving the Town of Jackson. He served the town throughout the years in many capacities, including many years as a Selectman, Planning Board and ZBA member. Bob was a member of the Jackson Fire Department for 55 years. He was Deputy Fire Warden for the town for 44 years.
            Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved being in the outdoors. Bob enjoyed driving his classic cars.
            A graveside service will be held on Monday, Nov 18 at 11am. The service will be located at the Dundee Cemetery, Dundee Rd, Jackson, NH with Rev Gail Pomeroy Doktor officiating. The graveside service is open the community. The service will be followed by a Celebration of Bob’s Life at Red Fox Pub & Grille, 49 Main St, Jackson, NH.
            In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Jen’s Friends, PO Box 1842, North Conway, NH 03860 or a charity of your choice in Bob’s memory.
