LIVING, LEARNING & LOVING during LENT
Lenten devotionals for March and April. We will focus on a different concept each day of the week: Sundays: Resting/Taking Sabbath Mondays: Fasting Tuesdays: Giving Wednesdays: Serving Thursdays: Praying Fridays: Studying/Learning Saturdays: Celebrating/Playing.
March 22 (Saturday – Celebrating/Playing)
- Scripture: Psalm 104:34 — May my meditation be pleasing to [God], for I rejoice in the Lord.
- Reflection: Celebrating God’s creation, paying attention to and experiencing the goodness in people and the world, helps us focus on gratitude. Having fun is a form of praise, especially if we’re intentional about it, and aware of all that it means about the blessings which God provides to make such experiences possible. Gratitude becomes joy and praise, and we reflect our play and celebration back to our Creator. We are designed to be in relationship to the design, and we are fashioned to be playful, humorous, curious, creative, active and engaged.
- Spiritual Practice Prompt: Partake in a joyful activity with friends or family, such as a meal, game, or an outing.
