Wednesday, June 4
- Scripture: Matthew 13:1 – “A farmer went out to sow his seed.”
- Reflection: The act of planting represents starting new ventures or faith journeys. Just as seeds require the right conditions to sprout, our spiritual journeys need nurturing through prayer, study, spiritual practice, and community. Where on your journey would you consider yourself to be? Is some part of your journey just beginning, or growing in new ways? Is it mature and comfortable? Young and uncertain? In crisis and need of care? Dormant? Flourishing? Tranforming?
- Spiritual Practice Prompt: Choose one aspect of spiritual cultivation and give it the time it needs: prayer, worship, study (reading and learning from wisdom texts including the Bible), a spiritual practice of your choice, or connecting to your spiritual community.
