  • Community Event: TODDLER & TOTS
    9:30am • Jackson XC Ski Touring Center For skiers who bring one or more Pre-K kids. Free tickets, use of skis, pulks and assistance getting young families on trail.
  • Community Event: NORDIC TIME TRIALS / SPEED CAMP 3:30pm • Jackson XC Ski Touring Center Optional after-school ski activity for grades 4-6, K-3 with parent. Coaching and timed loop for youth. Rec and racers invited.

  • YIN RESTORATIVE YOGA for the Mindful Body with Anjali Rose 9am • Jackson Community Church
    This new yoga workshop series is for 6 weeks and focuses on bringing both relaxation to the mind, body and spirit, while activating healing in the joints, connective tissues and fascia of the body.  Tender joints are supported and stretched gently to stimulate the connective tissue by holding postures in a reclined or seated position for 3-5 minutes.  Yin Yoga is a still and passive practice.  Physically, we work the space between our knees and navel, the hips, pelvis and spine, to create space and mobility in our tightest areas.  Energetically, we open the body’s meridian system to allow the continuous flow of Qi (chi). Psychologically, we practice being, allowing and contentment to balance our active, stressful yang lives. This class is suitable for all levels.  If you have injuries, (which we all do) special emphasis is placed on supportive poses. Note: 6 weeks $60.

    Biomimicry is an intentional practice of learning from, not just copying, well-adapted strategies and sustainable solutions used by living things to improve the design of products, processes, and systems. Come learn about strategies discovered by answering the question what would nature do?

    8am • Meet at Grants parking lot, Glen
    Join the Tin Mountain Bird Society for a winter bird­ing adventure north of the notches. Visit boreal birding hot spots off Trudeau Road outside Bethlehem and several other locales to spot resident boreal songbirds, including boreal chickadees, black backed wood peckers, crossbills and other finches. Bring your own binoculars or borrow Tin Mountain binoculars.

    Junior nature artists we want you! Join Deb Ayers, local artist and longtime art teacher, for a morning of fun learning to draw animals. Space is limited; please call 603-447-6991 to reserve a space. $5 program fee.

    2pm • Leura Hill Eastman Performing Arts Center, Fryeburg, ME
    The Pihcintu Multicultural Chorus helps restart young lives. War-torn villages, refugee camps, famine and political turmoil were devastating realities for many of these young singers before being embraced by the warmth, companionship and harmony that Pihcintu provides.
