At JCC: Tue – deacons mtg, Wed – council mtg, Thurs – yoga, Sat – JCC walks for Azheimers cure in Portland, ME, Sun – faioth formation & worship. Community events: Gibson Center steering committee, hold the dates for Habitat for Humanity’s Honey Do Auction and the Wentworth Charity Ball (must ask to be added to invitation list if you haven’t already received an invite) and Neighbor to Neighbor volunteer winterizing initiative.

  • Eagle’s Rest team registration link. Walk with Jeanette Heidmann, Linda Hastings & Rev Gail and other friends in memory of beloved ones living with or whom have died due to Alzheimers. 3.5 mile walk.

SUN,  Sept 23

  • INTERFAITH WORSHIP @ GAZEBO
    8am • Gazebo. Come for poetry, literature, conversation and prayer.
  • YOUTH & FAMILY 
    9am • Parish House and church grounds. Challenge games & faith formation. Bring your school backpacks for a blessing! Stay for challenge games to kickstart our season of fun & learning together!
  • WORSHIP SERVICE
    • 10:30am •  Jackson Community Church.
      Story:  ‘Fruits of Wisdom & Seeds of Conflict’ with Rev Gail Doktor
    • Accompanist: Alan Labrie
    • Choir practice also resumes. Come 9:45am to brush up on today’s song, stay after worship to practice next week’s musical offering.

Come to the Honey Do Auction and bid on a full day’s service by a qualified Honey. We’ll have Carpenters, Plumbers, Electricians, Painters, and other talented tradespeople. You can also bid on trips, dinners, home décor, gift baskets, jewelry, and so much more!
We also have an ‘A Team’ Raffle for a Spring Clean Up worth $1,000
the winner gets a team of Honeys for 3 hours of yard work.
Join us in the elegant wedding tent at The Wentworth in Jackson Village for a buffet dinner and help us raise money for MWV Habitat for Humanity, local scholarships for the trades, and other educational programs.
Tickets are $30 for admission and dinner.

The 4th Annual Charity Ball

As noted in the Jackson Enews: “This event last year raised over $17.000 and 33 different charities benefited.   Invitations will be sent out by Ellie Koeppel in the next few weeks and if you would like to be added to the invite list please contact Ellie directly at ellie@thewentworth.com.”

NEIGHBOR to NEIGHBOR
JCC will participate in this ecumenical volunteer program which connects volunteers and resources with people who need help to make their homes safe, warm, and dry. This one-day volunteer initiative provides free repairs and weatherization to people of the Mount Washington Valley who need it. This can be vitally important as we prepare for New England’s harsh winter. You can help:

  • Referrals for neighbors who need work completed in our community
  • Volunteers to help complete different jobs. You may serve in Jackson or in a community nearby.
  • Please email JCC with any referrals or your interest in participating. JCC will provide a liaison to coordinate our referrals & job crews with the team leaders based at Nativity Lutheran in No Conway, NH.
