    Volunteers from JCC work “adult hour” shifts at Way Station. To indicate interest in becoming a volunteer with this program, please contact the Way Station.
  • Community Event: AUTUMN GOLD: Eastern Larch
    9am • Grants parking lot, Glen
    Whether you call it larch, tamarack, hackmatack or Larix laricina, it is our only native deciduous conifer. Learn more about the natural and cultural history of larch trees by joining us for this easy 5-mile scenic walk at the Pondicherry National Wildlife Refuge in Jefferson and Whitefield, NH.

    7pm • Loynd Auditorium @ Kennett High School (use rear entrance).

    2pm • Jackson Community Church.
    Rev Belshaw and volunteers from Christ Episcopal Church of North Conway, NH will move office furnishings & equipment into second floor room in Parish House next to our church admin office. They will be using this former classroom upstairs as an administrative office.

SAT, Oct 26

  • Multi-Church Event: HIKE @ HALL’s LEDGE
    9:15am-Meet at parking lot at end of Carter Notch Rd / Prospect Farm
    Meet in parking lot and hike up to Hall’s Ledge trail for 2 spectacular views. Bring snacks, water, and dress appropriately for the weather.
  • Community Event: GLACIAL GEOLOGY FIELD TRIP
    9am •  Meet at Grants (Hannafords) Parking Lot, Glen – Drive to Mt Willard trailhead
    Look at the geologic history of the White Mountains, from tectonic plates to glaciers. Hike to the summit of Mount Willard for a view of the glacial U-shaped valley of Crawford Notch. Pack water, a lunch, and layers. The hike is 3.2 miles roundtrip and moderately strenuous. 603-447-6991 for reservations.

  • YOUTH PROGRAM: CORN MAZE
    3-5pm • Sherman’s Farm, Conway, NH
    5th grade and older. Friends welcome. Drop off & pickup by parents @ Sherman Farm. RSVP essential for this event, so we can plan for it, or cancel due to lack of attendance. Please bring $11/pp for entry into maze and other activities.
