Meet in parking lot and hike up to Hall’s Ledge trail for 2 spectacular views. Bring snacks, water, and dress appropriately for the weather. - Community Event: GLACIAL GEOLOGY FIELD TRIP
9am • Meet at Grants (Hannafords) Parking Lot, Glen – Drive to Mt Willard trailhead
Look at the geologic history of the White Mountains, from tectonic plates to glaciers. Hike to the summit of Mount Willard for a view of the glacial U-shaped valley of Crawford Notch. Pack water, a lunch, and layers. The hike is 3.2 miles roundtrip and moderately strenuous. 603-447-6991 for reservations.
