Explore Pinkham Notch with a Tin Mountain naturalist and learn about the diverse ecology of the region. Program topics change weekly and range from learning about the flora and fauna of the forest and fresh water ecosystems to those of the higher alpine environment, including wildflowers, mosses, waterfalls, frogs, and moose to the geology of the surrounding mountains and Presidential Range. Community Event: ECOFORUM – Aerial Insectivores: The Who, What, Where, and Why of an Emerging Conservation Issue

Aerial insectivores are birds that feed on insects captured in flight, and include nightjars, swifts, flycatchers, and swallows. Dr. Pamela Hunt, NH Audubon, will provide an overview of these species’ biology and population trends.
