October 26: Finding Light in the Darkness
- Scripture: John 1:5 — “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
- Reflection: Trust that God’s light is always present, illuminating your path. Know that you are a child of light, and that radiance is kindled within you, especially as you connect with Godself. You are a lamp for others. You are one star in the sky, and together with the lights of others, you become part of a constellation … part of the bright flow of the Milky Way.
And when you cannot feel that fire burning within you, turn to God to ignite the spark again. The Spirit will provide the flame and the fuel you need. God meets you where you are. - Spiritual Practice: Light a candle and meditate on God’s presence shining through any darkness in your life. Acknowledge the light within you.
