Day 3 — Liberation and Thanks
- Scripture: Exodus 15:2 (NRSV): The Lord is my strength and my might, and he has become my salvation.
- Reflection: Gratitude in scripture often arises after liberation—freedom from bondage, fear, empire. Gratitude is political: it remembers that freedom is a gift and a calling. We are thankful not only for what God has done, but for what God empowers us to do.
In what ways have you been freed? Personally? Communally? - Practice: Identify one place in your life where you feel freer than you once were.
