LOVE Daily Devotional: Advent 4 – Dec 22

• Scripture: John 3:16 — For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son.
• Meditation: God’s love, which is known as agape, is unconditional. In our faith tradition, we celebrate the arrival of love into the world during the Christmas season. We balance that knowledge with the recognition that such love, embodied in a person, also became a Way that served others and involved sacrifice. In the story of Christ’s life, that meant risking death itself to resist injustice and oppression. Through his Way, Jesus changed the world in which he walked. How is the imperfect, messy human love that we experience reflective of service and sacrifice?
• Spiritual Practice: Reflect on the ways God has shown Love to you. Write a letter of gratitude to such love.
