- Scripture: 2 Corinthians 9:10 – “Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.”
- Reflection: Would you believe that God needs us? Chooses us? Wants us? That’s tough to imagine.
It’s easier to focus on, what do you need? Ask for it. Seek it. It is okay to express what you need, and seek God’s help.
That help may come in unexpected ways, or may come in a timeframe different than you wanted. It may seem as if you receive no response at all. And of course, perhaps the answer isn’t what you desired. Yet God listens, and responds. Look again, and realize that an answer has been given.
Now look around you. What does your community need. What do the people within your community require? How can you help others to thrive and grow?
Believe that all that you need is available. What is possible to provide, will be made accessible. Yet we are always partners in this reciprocal relationship. We must ask and reach out to connect and accept what is offered.
God serves as our provider. Holy Love ensures that our efforts to sow seeds of wellbeing for ourselves and others are not in vain. Reflect on the abundance and resources you have been given and how they can be used to cultivate sustainable, equitable circumstances in your surroundings. - Spiritual Practice Prompt: Consider ways you can use your resources to sow seeds of kindness or service within your community.
