Daily DevotionalCultivate different facets of love each day this month.
- Scripture: John 15:12-15 – This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends You are my friends if you do what I command you. I do not call you servants any longer, because the servant does not know what the master is doing, but I have called you friends, because I have made known to you everything that I have heard from my Father.
- Reflection: Some of us have many friendship bonds. Some of us have only a few deep, long-lasting friendships. Some relationships span a lifetime, some come and go during different stages of our lives, whether it was school or work or volunteering or recreation or some other form of affinity and connection.
Deep friendship is characterized by loyalty, and can border on selflessness. Such is the model shown by the circle of friends and followers of Christ. Whom do you admire among the women and men who valued their friendship with Jesus? And what do you understand about friendship, based on how Jesus models friendship? - Spiritual; Practice Prompt: Reach out to a friend and spend some quality time together.

A Friendship Blessing — John O’Donohue
May you be blessed with good friends.
May you learn to be a good friend to yourself.
May you be able to journey to that place in your soul where
there is great love, warmth, feeling, and forgiveness.
May this change you.
May it transfigure that which is negative, distant, or cold in you.
May you be brought in to the real passion, kinship, and affinity of belonging.
May you treasure your friends.
May you be good to them and may you be there for them;
may they bring you all the blessing, challenges, truth,
and light that you need for your journey.
May you never be isolated.
May you always be in the gentle nest of belonging with your anam ċara.
