February 10: Love in Action

• Scripture: 1 John 3:18 – Little children, let us love not in word or speech but in deed and truth.
• Reflection: We often say that people have different love languages. Some people show their love through acts, and struggle to express it in words. Others need to have love demonstrated to them, rather than simply stated as words and language.
  One way or another, love conveys itself most powerfully when shared via intentional deeds of compassion, kindness, and thoughtfulness. Sometimes the simplest action is simply to offer your presence: to show up for someone else, one way or another.
  Spiritual Practice Prompt: Perform an act of kindness. To extend the idea of love in action, offer an act of kindness to a stranger.
