    • Join us for a slideshow and talk with Caitlin Patterson, the two-time olympian in Nordic skiing and many-time national champion in three different sports—ski mountaineering, mountain running, and nordic skiing.
    • This event is free and open to the public, arrive early to guarantee yourself a seat.

    • The middle school (4th-5th grade) youth group from Ipswich is visiting this weekend.
    • Church is off-limits except if you are officially participating in part of the day’s activities (exception for staff).
    • JCC youth are invited to participate in any part of the day’s activities.

    9 am – Noon • Whitney Community Yard Sale at the Whitney Community Center.

    • There will be over 15 tables of both free and priced goods to choose from!

    • Explore Tin Mountain’s Albany property on a guided casual snowshoe tour and see what winter has in store! Interesting animal tracks, our resident birds, beautiful conifers, Chase Pond and unexpected sites await us. The terrain is variable and so is the weather… so dress for the day and enjoy the trails.
    • Bring your own snowshoes, or we have all sizes available. Snowshoes are free for members and $15/pp for non-members (so consider becoming a member).

    • Skate Clinic with Olympian Caitlin Patterson on Saturday.  Sign up by Venmo: first come first registered: venmo: @caitlin.patterson-skier,  4 digits 7112. Max 30 skiers. Fun and a great use of your time and her talent as a skier and a coach! This is for adults and young adults who are intermediate to advanced skaters.  Dress in layers.
  • Community Event: HERE COMES the SUN – Solar Fundraiser with Mango Groove
    5:30pm – Tiki Bar opens /  7pm – Concert • Majestic Theater, Conway Village

    • Put on your best island-wear and come enjoy the musical stylings of Mango Groove!  Let’s pretend it’s not January, and hula our hips to the sweet vibrations of steel drum goodness.Mango Groove is an authentic steel band featuring the uplifting Caribbean sound of traditional steel pans.  The ensemble consists of lead pan, alto pans, guitar pans and bass pans — plus a conventional drum set and an array of traditional percussion instruments. The result is a full, rich sound, with the infectious rhythm that only a steel band can create.
    • This concert is a benefit for The Majestic Theatre’s plan to install solar panels behind the theatre. The plan, already created, will provide energy to the theater, the Majestic Cafe and Mountain Top Music Center. Help us take the next steps in this endeavor by attending this concert and donating what you can! You’ll be helping our organization become more sustainable, environmentally friendly, and economical.

    • Jackson XC is hosting activities in conjunction with club leaders from Bethel and Fryeburg. Planned activities include: recreational relay-style races, a tour and “sharks and minnows,” plus cocoa. This is a club style activity; parent/adult-leaders will work with the kids. Clubs are reaching out to members, please call the front desk if you are not in a club and would like to have your kids take part. Ages up to 14; kids who are comfortable on skis and in group activities.
