- JCC Attends COVERED BRIDGE DANCE
7:30-10:30pm (bridge closes at 5pm)
- Join Jon Sarty and the White Mountain Boys as they lead us in a night of music, dance, and community spirit. Music starts at 7:30 PM and continues through 10:30 PM. The Jackson bridge will be closed immediately after music for clean-up. You will want to come early and find your favorite spot. There will be a food vendor available for your convenience.
- Bring your own picnic or potluck item to share, your own beverages, and seating.
- People sometimes gather beginning at 6pm before the music commences (weather permitting).
- JCC friends and members: come tap your toes and shake your booties!
- Event is weather dependent and final decision by Jackson Chamber of Commerce for tonight’s event will be posted around 3:30pm on Facebook. Link to confirm event: https://www.facebook.com/JacksonAreaCC
- If event is cancelled due to weather, we may get together in town anyway, and will send a confirmation about those alternate plans via JCC’s email and also post it to JCC’s Facebook page.

- This program explores the life of Gilbert Winant, who came to New Hampshire as a teen to attend St. Paul’s School and never fully left its influence behind. He served as governor, helped shape Social Security under Franklin D. Roosevelt, and later became U.S. Ambassador to Great Britain during World War II, where his life was marked by both achievement and tragedy.
This program is presented by Carl Linblade a longtime NH innkeeper and UNH Senior Lecturer who brings NH history to life, is FREE, and runs Sunday, August 9th from 4-5:30 pm at the Whitney Community Center. No Limit.
