Day 24 — Growth Without Comparison
- Scripture: Galatians 6:4 – “Let all examine their own work.”
- Reflection: Growth is personal, not competitive.
Our culture bombards us with messages about standards and judgments, until we internalize them. Avoid reading the posts of others on social media, for instance, and thinking that those are typical days. People often only share the best and worst moments, and not the ordinary and in-between times.
Measure yourself by your core values and passions. Listen to yourself and those you trust, who know you well. Give yourself compassion and time. Recognize that you and your circumstances are unique. Do not judge or measure yourself based on someone else’s starting point, progress, status, or outward appearance. Your metrics are your own.
You develop and transform at your own, and God’s own, pace. - Practice: Release comparison today.
