Day 19 — Growing in Wisdom
- Scripture: Luke 2:52 – “Jesus increased in wisdom and in years.”
- Reflection: Growth is gradual and embodied—even for Jesus. Remember he worried his parents by lingering in the temple as a child, and later learned lessons early in his ministry, such as showing care for the woman with the sick child. He expands his ministry and his circle of connections over time. As humans, modeling his Way, we can certainly grow in relationships and understanding and spiritual maturity over time, rather than all at once. In fact, the gift of the way humans intellect, curiosity, and learning is that we are capable of growth and change until the last breath we draw.
