Tuesday: Sharing a Meal with Others
Sept 30
- Scripture: Luke 22:19 — “And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is my body, given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.’”
- Reflection: Any time we eat a meal, especially with others, we are asked to be mindful. We are called to pay attention. To remember that preparing and serving food, as well as partaking of foods with others, is more than a common occurrence: it’s a sacred experience.
Sharing a meal is more than just food; it’s a connective act of hospitality and fellowship that echoes Christ’s own ministry. When we gather around the table, we participate in a divine rhythm of relationship, gratitude, and community. - Spiritual Practice: Invite someone for a meal—even if just coffee or a simple snack. Understand that you share more than a meal in the moment.
