Sunday, August 10
- Scripture: James 1:17 – “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”
- Reflection: Scripture gives us another simple lesson in wellbeing. Gratitude leads to contentment, satisfaction, and relaxation.
Gratitude doesn’t have to be large in scale. Pay attention to simple, small things in your day. Recognize gifts that bring joy and delight; this awareness nurtures thankfulness as well as playfulness.Today, note the blessings in your day and in your life —big and little—and thank God for the divine gifts that make life joyful. - Spiritual Practice Prompt: Sometime today, list at least three gifts or moments that brought you happiness.
