GROWING in FAITH
Daily Devotional
Daily Devotional
Cultivate steps for spiritual growth each day this week.
January 20: Lifelong Learning
- Scripture: 2 Peter 3:18 — But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
- Reflection: Life-longing learning is one of the gifts of being human. We’re wired to remain curious and able to learn until the day we die. We can grow psychologically, emotionally, spiritually, and in the use of our body in new ways as our health changes.
Growing in knowledge contributes to spiritual maturity and helps us better reflect Christ’s character. What steps can you take to intentionally deepen your faith journey? - Prompt: Consider exploring a way to become more familiar with your chosen faith tradition. Find an author you like to read in this subject area, or identify a blog or podcast that nourishes you, seek a songwriter or artist whose music inspires you, choose a prayer or mantra as a daily focal point. Such resources provide guidance for growth in your spiritual practice and awareness.

When all the stages of life have passed us by, these things alone remain: the spiritual treasure that stretches our souls to see what our eyes cannot, the remembrance of how beautiful life really is under all its ugliness, and the love of those around us who make the journey gentle as we go.
If the question is, What is really important in life?—the answer is only life itself, living it well, immersing it in beauty, love, and reflection. — Joan Chittister, full article: https://www.joanchittister.org/articles/whats-important-life
