- Birch log Advent candle holder from JCC, especially hand-cut and hand-crafted by Lee Phillips.
- We have a total of 12 logs to share. Free to households.
- They will be in the front entrance which is open 24/7.
- If you have received a log in the past, please recycle the one you have altredy used, so that new households can enjoy these freshly-prepared logs.
- A limited number of Advent candles bundles (set of 5: 3 purple, 1 pink, and 1 white) are also available inside the front entrance. Also free to families, although donations are appreciated to offset the cost.
- If JCCs supply of candles have all been distributed, and you wish to order them for your home, they are available on Amazon.

1pm • Old red Library- These gatherings are all held on Wednesdays at 1pm at old red library in Jackson, NH. Specifically for households who have experienced the death of a spouse, partner, adult sibling or parent (or other adult (HUMAN) relationships.
- Also: CHILD LOSS GRIEF GROUP is specifically for households who have experienced the death of a child of any age. Upcoming dates: Wednesdays @ 1pm: Oct 2, Nov 6.
- We meet in-person only. At this point, new participants are welcome through word-of-mouth or referrals or if they read about this group through eNews or other outlets.

3-4pm • Conway Public Library- In his presentation, Wayne will read and discuss several of his haikus and poems, which were written based on his thoughts and observations throughout his life.
- He will also play seven musical instruments, including a classical guitar, an acoustic steel string guitar, a Native American flute, a five-string Celtic banjo, a mandolin, and a fiddle.

7pm • Tin Mountain Conservation Center, Albany- Join veteran wildlife biologist Eric Orff, who has lived a life on the wild side in New Hampshire, for a book launch of What’s Wild: A Half-Century of Wisdom from the Woods and Rivers of New England. From saving thousands of mother bats from certain death by poison, to riding a ten-point whitetail buck, when the “tranquilized” deer lurched to his feet with Eric astride as it thundered downhill at warp speed in the dark of the night. Holding on for DEER life had a whole other meaning!

Nancy Ritger and Tin Mountain Conservation Center will take participants through the unique characteristics and identifiers of the region’s trees, including twig characteristics, branch arrangement, and bark; this program is appropriate for all levels. 7-8:30pm • Whitney Community Center- You may have heard about Quakers, the Religious Society of Friends, sitting in silence, waiting for a message from the Holy Spirit. Quakers believe in the equality of all persons because of the conviction that every individual possesses an “inner light”.
- Learn Quaker history, how Quakers worship, and how Quakers live their lives. This program is taught by the New England Yearly Meeting of Friends.
